For those of us who find we are out of space in our homes/apartments to put things, here is a solution that is accessible and easy.  Over-the-Door Shoe Organizers are ingenious for most everything other than shoes and they come in different options.

I was tired of looking for gloves, mittens, hats, and scarves that I put in bins inside my coat closet.  I hung one of the shoe organizers on the inside of the closet door and filled the 24 compartments with all of the things inside those bins.  Many can hold two pairs of gloves/mittens or hats.  They are easily in sight and in reach.  I was able to get rid of those bins on the top shelf and under the hanging coasts.  The closet is neat and I have room for other things if needed.

After the coat closet was done I felt armed with adding more space, to otherwise not utilized areas, behind closed doors.  On the one inside my bathroom closet I have put washcloths and hand towels, toothpaste, and soaps we buy in bulk and a number of other things hidden under the sink that seemed to be gone forever.  My linen closet in the upstairs hallway is small and the door is about half the size of a normal closet door.  I cut one of the organizers in half, lengthwise, and in that half, I put pillowcases, air fresheners, lint brushes…..well you get the drift.

The best one, for me, was the one I hung on the door to our master bath.  That door usually stays open so I hung it on the outside of the door so the organizer is hidden when the door is open.  In that, I put all of my socks, stockings, tights, and leggings.  No more searching through the drawers looking for the pair I needed.

So, arm yourself with these great time-saving creations and get organized!
